Description Technical Specs

Kaw Valley Precision Linear Comps are part of a small family of compensators aimed at taming muzzle concussion. The KVP linear comp, collects and redirects muzzle gases away from the shooter. This redirection helps reduce the perceived decibels the shooter experiences at his or her ear. By pushing excessive noise and concussion downrange, not only will the shooter experience a much softer shooting experience, bystanders will also benefit from the redirection of the muzzle gasses. Kaw Valley Precision has been a part of many successful applications of our linear comps in many shooting disciplines including: CQC (close quarters combat), Competitive Shooting, Varmint Hunting, Law Enforcement, and Indoor Ranges to name a few.

Left Hand versions of our Standard Linear Comp are perfect for AK-47 (and other) applications. Knowing that various AK barrels are notorious for having non-concentric barrel threads, we've opened up the exit bore to allow ample wiggle. The exit bore diameter is .450" (11.4mm) which will handle a caliber range 9mm and down in diameter.

NOTE: PLEASE INSURE PROPER BORE/COMP ALIGNMENT PRIOR TO FIRING THE WEAPON. CONTACT A LOCAL GUNSMITH IF YOU ARE UN-ABLE TO PREFORM AN ALIGNMENT TEST.
Features
  • The KVP™ Linear comp is part of a small group of muzzle devices that are designed to collect and redirect muzzle gases down range. This helps lower the perceived decibels a shooter experiences. The positive effects of our comps are especially noticed in AR-15 pistols and SBR's that are notorious for having brain busting muzzle concussion. Application considerations include but are not limited to, SBR's, close quarter combat (CQC), pistols, and hunting rifles.

5 of 5 AK comp fiasco...fixed! June 7, 2020
Reviewer: Derek Pittman from Madison, IN United States
I have ordered from KAW in the past and have been a great fan of their comp. I decided to get one for my AK47 and placed the order, however, I ordered the wrong size thread pitch.
I sent and email and got a prompt reply. I was given instructions how to exchange the incorrect comp.
Even tho it was my fault, they were very helpful and accommodating. I'm very happy with the product as well as their customer service. I will definitely be sending others to KAW

Ordered LH thread 14-1 linear compensator, got it 3 days after I ordered it in USPS Priority mail. Fantastic service! Looks great on my Draco, can't wait to try it out at the range - should be easier on my ears and my shooting booth neighbors.

5 of 5 Ordering and Delivery March 22, 2020
Reviewer: Douglas Putney from Evergreen, CO United States
Customer service, ordering and delivery went smoothly. I’ve not had the chance to put the compensator on my Sig MPX because my range and gunsmith are closed by COVID-19. I’ll write more when I’ve had a chance to ops check the MPX

5 of 5 Magnum linear comp March 3, 2020
Reviewer: Marlo Cota from Dolores, CO United States
I tested the Magnum comp for sound pressure effects at 30yds from the muzzle of a 30 Grendel AR 15. Two witnesses agreed that with the comp, the muzzle blast was not as sharp or as loud as without.
